Buying Guide: Key Purchase Considerations
What size 15 kW generator head do I need for my space?
15 kW units are suited for larger steam rooms or full-home installations. Confirm room volume (cubic feet or meters) and desired steam output to ensure the generator can maintain steady temperatures without short cycling.
What installation considerations matter?
Many 15 kW kits offer compact designs for vanity, closet, or attic/basement installation. Assess available space, ventilation, and access for service. Consider whether you need auto-drain or aromatherapy features and where the steam head will be placed for even distribution.
What control features are most useful?
Smart controls via Wi‑Fi or Bluetooth provide convenient remote adjustments. Square digital controls offer straightforward interfaces. If remote access is important, verify compatibility with your home network and mobile devices.
Aromatherapy and maintenance: what to expect?
Many 15 kW options include aroma reservoirs for essential oils. Regular maintenance is needed to prevent residue buildup and ensure flavor-free sessions. Look for auto-drain features to simplify upkeep and prolong component life.
Safety and durability considerations
Choose units with robust metal housings, protective safety features, and certifications when applicable. Confirm wiring requirements and whether installation should be performed by a licensed professional, especially for high-capacity steam generators.
What should I verify before buying?
Ensure compatibility with your current shower enclosure, verify the finish matches existing fixtures, and confirm space for the required plumbing and electrical connections. Validate warranty terms and whether service is available in your area.
